Why You Feel Jealous of Women Like Sydney Sweeney (And How to Break Free)

There’s been a lot of noise lately about a certain American Eagle ad featuring Sydney Sweeney. Some people are calling it propaganda. Others are calling it problematic.

But you know what I felt when I saw it?

Nothing.

Not because I don’t have opinions. But because I’m not threatened. I’m not shaken by another woman’s beauty. I’m not made smaller by someone else’s spotlight. And I sure as hell don’t feel the need to cancel a denim ad because a blonde girl is talking seductively into the camera.

Here’s the real talk:

If a brand’s marketing can make you feel invisible, enraged, or less-than…it’s not about them. It’s about you.

That sting you feel? That comparison trap that makes you spiral? Or that inner voice whispering, “You’ll never look like that…”

That’s a crack in your confidence foundation. And no brand, no model, no ad is responsible for patching it up. We live in a culture that thrives on comparison. Where women are either not skinny enough, not curvy enough, not real enough.

Where we’re taught to compare, compete, and tear each other down—instead of learning how to stand secure in our own power.

But the kind of confidence I teach, doesn’t flinch when someone else shines. It doesn’t get jealous when another woman’s getting praise. It doesn’t go quiet in the presence of beauty.

It expands.

Because a confident woman knows that someone else’s glow doesn’t dim her own.

It’s proof that the light is available to all of us—when we stop hiding behind our insecurities.

So no, I’m not mad about Sydney’s ad. I’m not here for the drama. I’m here for the women who are ready to stop shrinking when someone else gets the spotlight.

If you’re tired of feeling not enough, if you’re done letting ads, influencers, or picture-perfect people shake your self-worth—then you’re ready for Fierce Confidence™.
