Why Forcing Growth Doesn’t Work (And What to Do Instead)

Let me say something loud for the perfectionists in the back:

Not every season is meant for climbing mountains.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is sit your booty down and breathe. But society doesn’t like that, does it? We glorify the grind, worship the hustle, and throw shade at anything that smells like rest. If you’re not “doing,” you’re “falling behind,” right?

Bullsh*t.

We are human beings after all, not human doings. Here’s the truth that no one’s glorifying on Instagram:

🌀 Some seasons are for learning.

💤 Some are for resting.

🔥 And some are for rising.

You don’t get to rise unless you’ve honored the other two. You can’t skip the pause and expect power.

Real growth isn’t a 24/7 grind.

It’s messy. Cyclical. Slow. Sometimes boring as hell. And the most powerful shifts often happen when you’re not doing anything at all. I’ll be honest, I’ve gotten into the habit of doing, doing, doing and not so much being. It’s hard for me to sit still. So this message is just as much for me as it is for you, tigress.

Here’s my challenge to you:

What if you stopped trying to force your next breakthrough… and started asking yourself how you actually feel? Not how you should feel. Not what your productivity app says. Just you. Right now. Unfiltered.

Uncomfortable? Free? Numb? Whatever’s there—own it. Write it down. That’s where the magic starts.

If you’re craving a space where you can be raw, real, and supported through all your seasons? Come hang out with us inside The Confidence Circle.

No pressure to be “on.” No fake positivity. Just real talk, fierce support, and women who are done with the BS. Your growth doesn’t need a deadline. Trust your timing.

Your next rise is coming. But only if you’re brave enough to be before you do.
