From Consuming to Connecting: Reclaim Your Body and Embody Joy

When you can get a date online by simply swiping right, shop online with 2-day delivery, have food delivered to your house from your favorite restaurant, it’s easy to say we live in a convenient, consumerist environment. We’ve become accustomed to instant gratification. No waiting, no processing, no nourishing.

This impacts our ability to fully embody our experiences. How much of what you’re consuming are you really feeling? That’s what embodying means–to be present and feel deeply inside your body.

💣Are you consuming to fill a void instead of addressing the reasons why the void is there in the first place?

💣Are you consuming to distract yourself from a difficult truth?

💣And let’s be real, are you consuming the relationships with your partner, friends or your kids as a means to appear happy? Oof!

The reality is that all this consuming and lack of processing can cause us to become numb to our body. Your body is a powerful voice that is capable of communicating with you on a conscious and subconscious level through neurological and physiological signals. When you become numb to your body, you break connection with those signals, which results in losing the ability to listen to your body, to feel pleasure in healthy ways and to trust in yourself.

The good news is that you can rebuild that sacred connection to your body through intentional reflection, body exercises and breath work. If you’re already incorporating these techniques into your life…fan-freakin-tastic! Keep doing it.

But if you’re at a loss on where to start…this is why I do what I do.

I use sensual movement as a means to help women build trust in their body in a supportive environment. I teach how to slow down and enjoy the process of reconnecting with your body. 

But it’s not a quick and easy process. You can’t order a soul shifting, transformative experience on Amazon and have it delivered the next day. It will take work on your part, a commitment to self. It will take prioritizing YOUR SELF. That means giving yourself your time and investment.

If you want to actually feel happy and just not appear to be happy…

Invest in yourself.

If you want to be able to fully embody pleasure with your partner…

Invest in yourself.

If you want to learn how to trust in yourself…

Invest in yourself.

And the list goes on and on. I’ll be here waiting for you when you’re ready.
